F6-24. Diploma of the Conclave in Basel

The diploma of the Conclave in Basel informing Bishop Motiejus (Mathie) of Vilnius, about the work and decisions of the Conclave, the election of the new Pope Gabriel, who named himself Eugenius IV, and asking to inform other Lithuanian bishops, clergymen and the faithful about this.

The attached seal is missing except for the holes made for the attachment of the seal.
Latin; 1 f.; 39,3x59+0 cm; Text: 15,6x46,6 cm; 23 rows. The parchment is in good condition. The bottom margin is spotty. The edges are torn and cut in several places. There are two holes along the folds.  The first word of the intitulatio is written in capital letters that are decorated. Some letters in the first line are enlarged and decorated. The word placet is written in the corner. 
The label and the seal of the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences are on the reverse of the parchment.
